I love listening to people speak with a British accent. Especially Cockney.

Most years we would dress out and freeze 40 doe in a year but we have almost stopped, it's nice having that meat, and it actually helps because over population will starve the many. I wasn't afraid shooting my first deer, but I never wanted to shoot from the fear of having to clean it, but then when I finally did, it was like an awakening, like so many of my fathers had done it so long that something instinctive was passed down to me, it was very surprising. Maybe I feared it so much that when it became easy, I was so overwhelmed having gotten pass the thoughts that frightened me.

As for cancelling cable? If I could figure out a cheap way to watch college football online, I'd drop it in a heartbeat.

Gotcha. I had a mental image of you surfing the web in a tree stand and I got the giggles.

I watch college football on regular TV when it's on, I miss a lot of games, but that's ok. And of course live games when the Ravens play at home (Anderson U). And NFL on Thursday night. I don't think there's a cheap way to watch college football online.

I used to play a hunting simulation game, not very realistic (I shot an Elk from over 800 feet away with a compound bow once lol. I could barely see it.) but fun. I could do that, but couldn't do it in the real world. I did love deer steak though. Gosh that was good.

Dunno, they use tree stands in Texas for rifle whitetail as I understand it. Not so much with rifle here in OR.

I can't stand the Texas deer farms and feeders. It's like shooting pets. We call them "bucket bucks", meaning, if you rattle some oats in a bucket, they come a running. That's shooting, not hunting.
