I really don't get where you folks come from on this. Do you really believe she wasn't aware that she would eventually be asked to issue a marriage license to a gay couple when she accepted the job? Or do you think it was OK for her to accept the job dishonestly, knowing she didn't want to fulfill ALL the duties of the job , and when told she had to do ALL her job start crying religious persecution?
She considered the elected position as part of the 'family business', like her relative before her who was clerk and her son who works for her.

You dont get it because after 19 repetitions saying it is not about Davis, you still think it just about her.

It IS about her , and by extension anyone who chooses to accept a job they don't want to completely fulfill and then use religious freedom claims to get out of doing a job they knew would involve doing what they object to.
How is it NOT about her and her not wanting to fulfill all the duties of the office she voluntarily ran for?

How does this woman not realize what an embarrassment she is?? Her life is going to be in the history books for SUCH wrong reasons. it's crazy she doesn't realize this. She's so filled with hate and greed.
So you really cant defend her refusing to do her job , or explain why special agreements should be made to let her continue refusing to do it , I see.
It's not only about her.
