And here I was just starting to like this Pope.

Those who are willing to make things work, usually find a way. If a prison guard has a problem putting death row inmates to death, then the prison manager might ask someone else. Posters here seem to think the only option is to fire guard on the spot, which is evidence of a mindset where you want to hurt people who do not agree with your views.

There's nothing wrong with this. The thing is, if that's how you feel, you should resign from your job and get one that does not require you to do something against your "faith".

There's a good chance that, as a fundamentalist, Ms Davis believes the Pope is not a Christian since he is a Catholic. Fundamentalists love the Pope when he agrees with them. The rest of the time they think he's teaching false doctrine and worshiping idols.

Terrible analogy. A prison guard can have lots of potential different jobs. Kim Davis's job was nothing more than issuing licenses. Further, a prison guard who objects to the death penalty cannot prevent the executioner from pulling the switch or making the injection. Meanwhile the woman in question was actively preventing her department from doing its job.

It is the same thing. People who are willing to solve problems as opposed to tearing people down always find a way to make things work. What portion of Davis job is signing licenses to gays? 0.01%? I think that's pretty near.

Okay, she's a part-time Nun.

The Pope is a work in progress.

He's beat many of the Church's demons, but clings to some.

He's wrong on this, but I still like the direction he is going.

He's in trouble now! He'll be branded "intolerant and Politically Incorrect. If he's like politicians and liberals, that may severely traumatize the Pope!
