“Wives are to honor and respect and follow their husband’s lead, not to tell their husband how he ought to be a better husband,” he opined. “When each person gets their part right, regardless of how their spouse is treating them, there is hope for real change in their marriage.”
He added, “A lot of people don’t know that marriage comes with instructions. And, we find them right there in God’s word.”
Oh goody!! A guy who is famous because he was on a popular TV show is telling wives what they must do?
Lol...whatever Kirk. You get to say what you want (it's a great country)...those of us who have other opinions get to ignore you (it's a really great country).

It never ceases to amaze me that there are so many weak men who seem to need the backing of God to garner any respect from the women they claim to love, Dew. There is no magic power in the male genitalia that equips them to be in charge over women.
Kirk is such a wackadoo but he does provide entertainment.
Remember how he claimed bananas were created by God to perfectly fit apes' and men's hands without realizing that today's bananas were cross-bred by humans to be significantly different from the originals and it's only comparatively recently in history, due to this crude genetic engineering, that bananas "fit perfectly" into a hand?
And that insane holiday special about how Jesus wants us to buy Christmas presents, and his "Christmas party guests" all break-danced at the end?
p.s. I always listen to my husband. Always. Sometimes I burst out laughing right afterward but I sure do listen, usually I'm just waiting for the punch line.

Guess the alternative is a burnng hell?
Well let's see, if I'd followed my husband's lead my kids would have grown up in a house with illegal drugs, a father who couldn't hold down a job and refused to treat his depression, seeing their mother doing literally everything because he provided no help, and all of that would have been a terrible example to set for them.

Pretty sure I made the right call with divorce.

Then there is a lot of single women who go the church and know Jesus , so they can beat the subservient legalism and still know God
But you are saying once they marry, subservience is not only the NORM but EXPECTED?
