You are revealing the ugliness of spirit required to become what you have become -- a bible-babbling minion of a souless god.

.
Whenever I read something absurd posted as fact I like to donate books to the library at my local elementary school. It's more productive than rolling my eyes or snorting in derision. I especially like to be able to donate books that will educate young minds so kids can grow up with factual truths in their brains, not superstitious beliefs and stories presented as fact. This month's book will be about ostriches. It will be suitable for the nature section, not the fairy tale section.

Personally, and I've told her this, I think she's knows more about Jesus than any fundamentalist, Bible-believing, finger-wagging believer who thinks people like her are headed hell because, even though they do all the things Jesus told us to do, they don't accept him as their savior.

I'm grateful to have had her as a friend and witnessed the good she's done for over 45 years. God put her in my life and I've been blessed by that. Her heart is so much more merciful and kind than the people who preach the Bible and make a big deal about their beliefs....but don't have a clue about love. Or being Christ-like.
Mystic's point is proven....walking humbly, practicing mercy, demanding justice and exercising compassion..

How easy you make it look...

I'm at work, so I don't have time to delve into who these aledged "evangelicals" are.

You're judging already...quite pathetic. His list included Robert Gagnon who is considered by many to be the chief antigay debater and who may as well be a Westboro sign holder as far as I'm concerned...the fact that you don't even know who he is shows how little you've really researched this.

1 John 4:7 (King James Version)
7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

All the uses of "born" use the word "gennaō " which means begotten or CONCEIVED (as in sperm meeting egg) NOT BIRTH.

gennaō ek theos " begotten of God" gennaō anōthen (begotten from above, from a higher place, of things which come from heaven or God) anagennaō "born again" gennaō ek pneuma "born of Spirit"

Why you continue to think it means a birth while you are still in your physical body eludes me. You are NOT "like the wind" while in a physical body, but all who are born again as Spirit ARE.

John 3:7-8 (King James Version)
7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

I never said I did. All I did was state what the Word says, and because you can't find that familiar wiggle room, you attack me personally. And you are a fool if you think your sins don't matter to G-d, plain and simple. You will die in your sins, if you do not pick up your cross and follow Him. That means denying self and all the man-made theories you've attached yourself to, that offer you nothing but death. Peace
I never said my sins don't matter to God. They don't matter to YOU. We will reap what we sow. But I am confident that I can NOT sin if I act in agape love and am forgiven if I repent when I don't.
