That persecution complex is fading. It is not CHRISTIANS, it is that evangelical cultists TEACH others is a perverted interpretation of Christ's message that I personally dislike.
I wonder if it also serves the purpose of making them feel like they are more important than they are. It somehow gives them a sense of legitimacy. My mom thinks the government is listening in on her phone calls because she knows the truth. As cray cray as that sounds it makes perfect sense if you are inside that reality.
I just had to try and gently steer her toward: "that seems unlikely since you are just one of 8 million and a woman at that." I couldn't come out and say "yeah, nobody gives a crap about the Watchtower, mom. Only JWs and exJW care at all."
ETA: she had her little ways of fending off contrary information. One classic one was saying people disagreed with her because they knew she was right. After I bought my house she came down on me pretty hard about going back to the cult. I was letting her have her say hoping she would wear herself out. She kept upping the abuse when I failed to respond and it got downright hateful. I was getting a bit agitated biting my tongue so much and she finally declared that she had gotten through to me. "you are upset because you know I'm right."....Yeah, I'm a codie...working on that.
If you notice the argument style of some of these people it is about being right. It's not about exchange of ideas.

So, while it remains a mystery what the OP means when he says there aren't any Christians who follow Jesus, we can review few things Jesus talked about in Matt 25
Are there Christians who feed the hungry? Yes.
Are there Christians who welcome strangers? Yes.
Are there Christians who visit the sick? Yes.
Are there Christians who visit people in prison? Yes.
Since the OP says there aren't any Christians who follow Jesus, then above could not possibly qualify as "following Jesus".
So, what does it mean? If he means there aren't any who followed Him by by resurrecting themselves, then He would be right, but it would also be completely meaningless because we are not expected to do things beyond our control.
People do that in all religions...You obviously don't know what his footsteps are so how can you be walking in them?...
Ok, this reveals what your problem is. Like most posters on this forum, you simply do not like Christians, and will say anything to make them look bad.
I think I do one thing that Jesus was known for. There seems to be some people on this board who know they are sinners and keep sinning for some reason. Even though I am not sinning I keep hanging out with them. That's probably as much Jesus as I can muster.
