The character of Jesus was based upon the invisible diving being written about in pre-Christian literature by Philo of Judea, who apparently even used the same name, Jesus. This same invisible divine being was written about by Paul in his epistles, and by the author of the epistle to the Hebrews.

Also, the epistle of Clement, which I would trust to be more accurate and unaltered due to it's not being included in the canon, although for the life of me I can't see why they would have excluded such an amazing epistle.

Anyway, I see it in today's terms as the higher subconscious mind who goes deeper into our surface thoughts, into our conscience. The "dialogues" that Jesus has with the Pharisees in the gospel of John represent the inner dialogues which occur in our subconscious mind.

What do you think of this interpretation?
Whoever acts in truth comes to the light so his deeds are revealed as works of God.

The "works of God" are NOT talking the right memorized words. What a simple-minded and silly thing to believe!

According to Jesus and God the Father it is but He won't let you see it because you reject His word. I didn' make it up. The verse shows the works of God are His word.

This is similar but you cannot see it. The secrets of God are not revealed to sinners who fail to glorify God by abiding in His word.

"The Lord is righteous in all His ways and holy in all His works."

I am the way, the truth and the life. Come to me and you will be saved.

No you are not, but courteous, kind, and pleasant words can touch a heart.

Just popping in. Nothing new under the sun. Sigh...

I am not prone to head banging except if I spend to much time reading this forum.

My sheep hear my voice. Why you cannot hear me is you are not among my sheep.

Yes. Except it would/could also be conscious.
Not unlike the Bhagavad Gita, the dialogue between Arjuna and Krishna....a
metaphor of the inner struggles and triumphs of the
individual man on the Path of or to Self-realization or God-realization.

Self-replicating, even when detrimental to the welfare of the host.

Well, I'm a newbie, relatively speaking, but I wish you'd pop in more often. Refreshing. No matter how much you want to rub elbows with sheep on here and chew the cud, more often than not you find yourself being attacked by wolves while the goats eat your hat. Peace
