So many worship their idea of Jesus, not the real Jesus.
Thanks Janelle. That's a good and accurate description of the real Jesus.
But there is only one Jesus.
And it's not the Jesus I say is real.
It's the Jesus the Bible says is real.
The Jesus revealed by Scripture.
The Jesus the Word of God calls
The Christ
The Son of God
The Redeemer
The Savior of the world
The King of kings
The Lord of lords
The Righteous Judge
The Alpha and the Omega
The First and the Last
The Beginning and the End
The Bread of Life
The Lord of Glory
The Lord of all
The Light of the world
The Lamb of God
The Good Shepherd
The Great High Priest
The Great I AM
The Way, the Truth, and the Life
The Power and Wisdom of God
The Holy and Righteous One
The Word of God made Flesh
The Resurrection and the Life
The Ruler over everything
The Judge of the living and the dead
The True, Mighty, Everlasting God Who was, and Is, and Is to come.

So all of these interpretations of Christ are replaced by your own? Aren't you doing what you condemn others of by posting this?
Christ also spoke a lot about mercy, and how grace abounds. And he spoke a lot about how we shouldn't go poking at the splinters in other people's eyes, while ignoring the big fat log in our own.
They are replaced by the Jesus in the bible. Did you read the whole list of what the bible says about Jesus?
The op link had security issues were MS said security alert which a fake web page , still the message was do you follow the water down Jesus which is liberal socialistic Jesus which leads people away from the true message of the gospel ......The only way to find the true Jesus is through Gods Spirit which comes to those who go to a church were the gospel is preached , as that is the will and works of God
We don't really know if he was kind and encouraging like he is portrayed. But that wasn't necessarily his role anyway. His role was political liberation.
The Bernie Sanders one comes closest to what I get from reading the Bible.

In the bible Jesus was not political at all. "Render to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God." Liberation theology or socialism was not what Jesus was teaching.

I thought of him, the soul of the southern might, that would grow .
Rueben you are no stone.

Matthew’s account concludes with Jesus once again mounting a hill to give to his followers his final (great) commission. History is clear. Kings occupy high ground. History is clear. Jesus was political.
He turned over the tables of loan sharks who were charging exorbitant exchange rates for Temple currency. The poor were also being gouged by merchants demanding outrageous fees for the animals to be sacrificed for Passover. You get the point. Jesus was political.
He was passionate about returning — returning to personal and social holiness and wholeness. Along with the Hebrew prophets, Jesus chose to align his politics with the oppressed, not the oppressors. And that cost him his life.
Truth be told, we are all political, because we all seek to use our influence and power to improve our world.
