yup,

personalities are not dependant on a belief statement. jerks are jerks and nice people are nice people. Just don't let the leaders of atheists and theist know that stuff, they tend to get unreasonable.

been saying this for years and years. And just like with theists we have some atheists that follow along because our leaders claim its that other belief statements fault. lmao, people run their lives based on a belief statement about no god or god ... to funny. 80/20

I think Sam Harris, the Dalai Llama and Pope Francis realize this and are all reasonable.
So I disagree about the leaders, unless you're talking the extreme fundamentalist fringe ends.

I found this.

Quote:
Progressive Christianity is a recent movement in Protestantism that focuses strongly on social justice and environmentalism and often includes a revisionist (or non-traditional) view of the Scriptures. Since the movement entails a number of different beliefs and views on various topics, it is difficult to label the whole movement decisively as “biblical” or “unbiblical.”
.
.
In general, members of this movement do not ascribe to the biblical doctrine of the inerrancy of Scripture, and, again, in general, do not believe that the Bible is the literal Word of God. Progressive Christianity also tends to emphasize what is known as “collective salvation” over the biblical concept of personal salvation.

In other words, a fundie site.

Gee, what a surprise they'd have a jaundiced view of Christians who actually focus on doing good works instead of pompous posturing and regurgitating scripture.

Is this attack your way of saying you disagree with it? Which part do you disagree with?

Are you saying they do not focus on social justice? Based on the posts from people here, they focus on it heavily.

Are you saying they believe the Bible IS the word of God? Based on what people post here, they do not believe it to be so. As a matter of fact, they make a hobby out of arguing it is NOT the word of God.

Are you saying they do NOT believe in collective salvation? Again, the posts here prove they do believe in it.

What are you disagreeing with? What's up with the outrage?

Or are you lashing out just the the sake of lashing out?
