Daniel's End-Time Message

Recorded in the Book of Daniel are the last scenes to take place just prior to the return of Christ. The following succcession of events will culminate with the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Chapter 11

40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships...

This was the attack on America, and the retaliation that followed.
Donald Rumsfeld had used a quote from Isaiah on one of his briefings during the Iraq war that repeats the description of the retaliation being as a "whirlwind": "Their arrows are sharp, all their bows are strung; their horses' hoofs seem like flint, their chariot wheels are like a whirlwind."

41 ...many countries shall be overthrown...

This was the "Arab Spring".

42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

Mubarak loses power, US military in Libya.

44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

Syria - the troubling news.

45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

The US embassy moves to Jerusalem, the "glorious holy mountain".
World war begins with the nations taking sides and converging at the battle of Armagedon.

Chapter 12

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time...

This is the second coming of Christ, His judgment, and the beginning of the Kingdom Age.

I don't agree with the analysis and conclusions reached ^. I.e. as to their applicability to now and/or recent events. The Old Testament is full of stuff that can get us 'wandering around the desert' mentally and spiritually, if we get caught up in the endless analysis.

I'll throw out the refreshing and simple Matt. 6:34 "...do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself". Jesus had to simply matters, after he/God saw so much busyness and complication cluttering the minds of men.

Donald Rumsfeld??? LOL!!!! That guy couldn't find his way out of a paper sack.

I place the prophecies of Daniel, spiritually speaking, with the New Testament. Which was historically about the 2nd Temple and it's downfall and destruction. Really, the message of the Bible is not that difficult to understand.

Not saying that you're right or wrong concerning the "SECOND" coming of Christ.

Consider this. did not the Kingdom come in Spirit and in POWER on Pentecost?. for the SECOND COMING of the Lord Jesus is a two-fold RETURN. first in Spirit, as stated being on Pentecost, and fulfilling Psalms 110:1 even as we speak. this first return is not observed by the world, "EVERY" eye as our Lord said in John 14:12 because it's Spiritual in nature. which support his SECOND return in the flesh where "EVERY" eye will see him. two supportive scripture, Revelation 1:7 "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen". with every eye seeing him, this return is the second of his two-fold coming, here in "APPEARANCE", bodily form. supportive scripture, Hebrews 9:28 "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation".

His first "appearance" was in flesh with blood as a babe. his second, "Appearance" will be in flesh, but NO BLOOD, hence the resurrected body, glorified. both of these in flesh is "APPEARANCES", but on Pentecost, no appearance, or no eyes saw him, but he was in MANIFESTATION ....... with POWER, the Spiritual Gifts.

by KNOWING our Lord's two-fold returns, it answers a hard bible question of Matthew 16:28, Luke 9:27, and Mark 9:1.

so the KINGDOM came on Pentecost.

GINOLJC, to all.

The reason why some say the Kingdom has not come yet is......... maybe they are not in it?

the Kingdom came when the KING came, King Jesus, and that was on Pentecost. scripture, Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth".

and Christ Jesus is that POWER, supportive scripture, 1 Corinthians 1:24 "But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God".

There he is, (Christ the Power of God), and he is the WISDOM of God. Christ the Holy Ghost, without flesh, without bone, and without BLOOD. the Power of God manifested in "his" people lives. enabling them to OVERCOME. and it started on Pentecost. enabling them to speak with other tongues, raising the dead, healing the sick, lame walk....ect. John 9:31 "Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. 32 "Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. 33 "If this man were not of God, he could do nothing".

1 Corinthians 15:22-26 "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 "But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24 "Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 "For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death".

Its amazing people say Christ is coming soon, but yet don't know that the Kingdom that he is to deliver before his coming is here on earth now.

blindness set in when one doesn't read and understand properly with the teacher, the Holy Ghost, Jesus the Christ. what happens is NOT nose blindness as with the air freshener glade, no, but ear blindness as with the Word of God.

the Holy Spirit through the apostle Paul said it best, Hebrews 5:12-14 "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 "For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 "But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil".

Doesnt this contradict what Jesus said about the second coming though?

Jesus said the end will come when NO ONE expects it, like a thief in the night, so if this is accurate, the 'times' when the second coming will happen, should not look like 'end of the world' type stuff, if NO ONE expects it, the times should look fairly good actually.

He said that HE would come like a thief in He night, not the end...

coming as a thief, simply means "NO ONE KNOW THE DAY OR THE HOUR OF HIS COMING".

When you read some of the prophecies in the Old Testament, it does sound like there will be a real, physical Kingdom. One day is as a thousand years. Six thousand years of "work" and then starts the thousand years Sabbath. It sounds very literal. Jesus returns to Jerusalem, and His law goes forth from Jerusalem.

Zechariah 14:4
“And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.”

Isaiah 2:3
“And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
