Don't be coy, Mike. Differences in the mindset of primitives and savages compared to educated and civilized modern humans are not trivial. Even differences between generations of fairly recent times are marked. Ever watch a silent movie that was considered serious and dramatic at the time. I suspect your reaction would not be as serious or dramatic. Those relatively minor mindset differences pale by contrast to those between us and our ancestors from primitive times.

It goes to show even that which he believes is plainness of speech, he gets wrong. How he is interpreting it the way he is, is truly dumbfounding. This condemning man of war god he believes in, helps him to understand the scriptures, yea right

ergo, it is Christ who died that condemns.
They didn't believe because they were not of Christs Sheep which He died for Jn 10:26

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

See Christs Sheep will eventually hear and believe in Christ. They were never condemned

Universalism is a false teaching because some people God hates and will rain upon them fire and brimstone, thats their portion from God Ps 11:5-7

5 The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

7 For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Fire and brimstone we see that again here Rev 14:9-11

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

As far as I am concerned, all sin is fear driven. The very reason you not only believe in eternal hell but have absolute faith in it, is fueled by fear. The Lord Jesus Christ became what we are to deliver us from fear into His love where there is not only no fear but a place where fear never ever exists. The very first thing Adam and Eve did was hide themselves in fear. God literally became fearful to them, that fear did not come from God(2 Tim 1:7), it came out of their own hearts.

To get straight to the point, believing in eternal hell is sinful and the cause of that sin is fear. Deny it as much as you want, you are in fear and sinning if you believe in eternal hell.

There is NO FEAR >>>>>> in love; But perfect love >>>> casts out fear: because >>>> fear hath torment. He that feareth IS NOT >>>>>made perfect in love.

For God HAS NOT given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

In your understanding, perfect love casts out wisdom! And God has not given us a spirit of wisdom!

Job 28:28, And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

The fear of the Lord is excluded from the fear that is being spoken of in the verses that you are quoting.

How many times do you need it explaining to you the difference between reverence and fear ? You really are stiff-necked.

Perfect love casts out fear, its is right their in your bible just like " I have not given you a Spirit of fear". So, it is blatantly obvious to anyone who is remotely reasonable, that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Reverence, admiration, acclaiming and respecting is what it is referring to. Your fear based christianity is of the wicked one, you are still in your sin and leading others astray by your wickedness.

Only Mr. Ed or a lightning bolt from heaven can persuade jbf and even then, it is questionable. He may not have any fear pcamps, his hide is saved , that is all that matters.

We preach what we are. He became what we are that we might become what he is. If we are preaching fear and condemnation, that's because that is what we are and becoming. I have never witnessed once jbf speak of the love of God that cannot be comprehended, the super abounding grace of God and the great riches of the mercy of God.
