Do you think the Millenarians ever get tired of getting bamboozled by this stuff?
Aside from the fact that they blow off repeated counsel in Scripture that no one can predict its coming (Heck, even Christ Himself said as much), here's the problem with the End Of The World crowd: They are egotists.
Yep. You heard me correctly. They want to think that these times are special and, by extension, that they are special. That they have special knowledge and insight. That somehow or another, they have the secret decoder ring that allows them special insight into God's intentions.
Yet it never occurs to them that the eleventy zillion EOTW prophecies since the 1st Century onward have all proved to be wrong. And, by continually braying out this nonsense, they make all Christians look like we're all sitting on pins and needles waiting the world's destruction. Or, even worse, hoping for its destruction. They make us all look like a bunch of loons, rather than faithful people who should be intent on building God's Kingdom on Earth through our devotion to others.

O you are so going to hell, probably burn the first trillion, trillion years and be drowned a trillion trillion, and then get beheaded a trillion trillion years and eternity dont run out of trillions, and because it's that long, you gonna be so sorry you were a doubter, yup, sucks to be you, they will run out of ways to kill you when it gets to half of eternity, see what I mean, you never get to halfway lol. Ain't no half way mark with eternity, and all because what you did in a century, or less, man that is some harsh punishment.
O the pity of it all, just because you didnt believe as others.
To think, some people have nothing better to do than daydream and fantasize and "the end coming", doomsday, etc. They might as well just sell everything they have, and sit and stare at the sky. What a waste of a life.

Oh. And here I thought it was having to sit through a whole-life policy sales pitch. Talk about eternity.

What astounds me, Hanni, is that even a description as vivid and obvious as this seems not to penetrate their fog of belief in eternal torment. It is an enigma!

You shouldn't put all Millenarians in the same basket. Millenarians aren't all date setters.
Further, Christians don't build God's kingdom on earth. God's kingdom on earth will be established by Jesus when he returns at the end of the Tribulation and after the judgment of the nations.

Oh, everything is an enigma to you, and Hannibal's depiction of what happens in 'hell' is ridiculous. The essence of eternal punishment is spiritual separation from God. Not being drowned, or burned, or beheaded or otherwise tortured over and over.

I believe It is about not understanding the essential difference between unlimited and limited, it is incomparable- as in, we not able or capable to compare the differences
The Roman and Jew in Scripture is about a certain type of religious person and we are told that all have a part in that religious “blindness”
This is not a physical blindness, it is of the mind where you do not and can not understand because you are either just not ready for it, or not in the place to see it - it has to do with the outer senses and the connections to mind and being part of a body
There a way that is about the balance of our natural mind with its need for information and judgements and knowledge and natural imagination and creativity which then needs to be subjected under the higher mind of the spiritual which is about the qualitative and unlimited
Mystic, interesting choice of word that fog because that is what happened
We are at a certain time, no doubt about it in my mind, but we are to gather together in peace because that is what Christianity is based on, that is it’s beginning and root
Mat 1:21**And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Mat 1:22**Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Mat 1:23**Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Joh 1:1**In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2**The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3**All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4**In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5**And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 1:6**There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
