Admittedly, I have a difficult time just reading the Bible. Although I have read it many times throughout the last several decades as a believer, I tend to study better and stick with it when I have a workbook and a study guide. I used to be able to find several topical Bible study guides in the bookstores and online but I’m not finding them anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am desiring to get closer to God/Jesus. Thanks for your help!!!

If you have the Holy Spirit, He will draw your attention to a passage where He wants you to stop and ponder in your own spirit.
It the Moses and the burning bush approach. The Lord drew Moses' attention to the bush and he turned aside to look at the bush, and God was there.

I agree with what you say here, that has been my experience of being drawn to words, phrases and concepts, what I then do is follow where that interest leads, rather than me being in charge of my own progress

We are not supposed to do what we do in an unloving way... that is what I thought of when I read the other person's response to my question. Your answer was kind and humble and I thank you for sharing that Word. I agree with you and perhaps the Lord is allowing this suffering so that I get closer to Him which is what I desire right now and why I posted in the first place. You can request someone to take you through it as well princess. JoJo would likely be glad to do this via zoom, or duo, etc. At this time we do not meet in person anymore for studies, but we would be glad to take you through the course if you like.

Find all the threads started by Rose2Luv, Princess. They contain the true love of God. Read them every day. Sadly, there are too many judgmental Christians here who are children of wrath and not children of love. Stay away from the Jehovah's Witnesses, Jojo-50, Highway54, Matthew4.4, etc.
Yes thank you... I have been gifted with a spirit of discernment and I felt very uncomfortable with JoJo's response to my question. I felt scolded and not loved or encouraged which is a huge red flag for me. I agree with you, thank you for your help and for validating what was in my spirit. God Bless.
Don't worry my response to them will be silent from this point forward. I don't deal with judgmental and unloving Christians because I do not believe that is from our loving Father.
God's word divides sir, as well as unites. If someone is against God those words would likely give that connotation, but if a person truly wants to know God, they may prove to be quite the opposite. Why do you suppose we post here, and do our best to reach others with the good news knowing full well that extremely few want to hear it?
Likely you would agree, if we can save 1 life, it will be worth it.
