SOme of you will hear these very words, from the Lord himself, it is inevitable

Mat 7:21* Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.*

Mat 7:22* Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?*

Mat 7:23* And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.*

You do not have to though. Go to the mercy seat now and meet the King of King. Or do nothing and sit there.

We all have choices. It is the self or Christ, choose one.

What that means is people who lost faith in God, see the gifts of the spirit are given to believers who do have faith to receive, but over time sin comes back and people could ignore God and the gifts of the spirit of Christ do not go away they will be answered by Christ faith or no faith as the Word says they will work without repentance ................... So repentance is a must and resisting pride and sin is a must giving God the glory is a must, as no faith and God will not know His believers

Lol. You know what popped into my head? Someone I am close to who attends AA meetings says they have a saying about people who point fingers at and preach about others: "If you spot it, you got it."

I never knew you:

When Jesus makes this statement here Matt 7:23

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

He does not mean He never knew of them omnisciently, for in that regard He is God and knows all things as Peter acknowledges Jn 21:17

He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

However what Jesus means is that He never knew these people as His own, His Sheep, as His People He came to save from their sins Matt 1:21.

He did not know them as His as here 2 Tim 2:19

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

The foundation of God which standeth sure is Gods Election, Gods Sheep, Jesus knows His own Sheep He came to die for Jn 10:3-4,14

To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

So those in Matt 7:23 that He says He never knew them, could not have been of His Sheep that He is the Good Shepherd of and He laid down His Life for Jn 10:15 ! Its just that simple !

As usual with this OP, no. He's just preaching to the choir, and thinking he's doing something useful

He comes across as traditionally referred to as high-and-mighty, a holy roller, and a Bible-banger. Might be new to the faith, and a loose cannon. Too young to know any better.

And, as usual, we see several people respond and talk about how they are good enough they don't need Jesus.

Myself included. I don't need to be saved simply because some random man and woman many generations back ate a piece of fruit that they were told not to and now supposedly all of mankind is doomed to burn in hell for all eternity unless they believe in a belief system that is completely unbelievable.

I remain utterly astounded that such an obviously primitive, spiritually immature, and very ignorant rationale has endured for over two millennia and counting!!!
