My name is Nancy and I am new to this message board. I live in central FL and my DH and I have three children. We are members of a Lutheran Church (ELCA). Before I start posting I just wanted to make sure I had the right idea about this board. It is a Christian support board, right? Or is it more of a debate type forum? Some other purpose?

It's both, really. These days there seems to be more debate than anything. It goes in waves. There are some very lovely Christian people here, so I think it is worth hanging around to get to know them. I would suggest reading through the threads to get a feel for everyone first.
Welcome! I agree with DOTL, sometimes posts are for support and some are more for discussion, debate. Some are for Bible study, sharing, and/or information. I hope that you enjoy your time here. God bless.
The answer is not cut and dry. It really depends on which thread you enter whether it's fellowship, debate, bible study or just plain support/uplifting.
I agree with the others, look around. Read some threads that you find interesting. Do a search for a topic that appeals to you and see what's been done. If there's nothing out there yet, feel free to begin a new thread.
In the Christian sub-forum, you'll find a wide range of believers. Some will share your beliefs and others may not or may have a different view of the same topic. The bottom line is we follow Jesus. We may quibble and squabble at times but overall we listen and share and learn.
