Just not the way the left behind books and many Evan's define it, mainly all those that have said a salvation prayer and not much else being told that they will not have to go through the tribulations (Woes).

Quote:
If you died today, where do you think you would go? I'm not talking about Hades or purgatory or any kind of limbo stuff, I'm talking eternity wise.
To the place that has been prepared for me, and according to the parameters of my judgement day. I know that Satan has lost all the sinners of the world, and i feel i havn't merited outer darkness or the 2nd death... but then i'm a little biased. I still have to repent, so the throne of Christ is out of reach today.

Quote:
And you may be right about what would happen if the rapture didn't take place as expected like myself and so many others believe...it could be disastrous. But I won't be one who loses confidence in God OR His plan. I'm prepared for battle, persecution, starvation, beheading, and just dying in general...nothing will make me turn my back of God.
THat was really the heart of my post, to see what others thought if it didn't happen the way they have been told it was most likely going to happen.
Would they still press on, having love and faith toward God, or would they curse Him and not reflect or understand why they are going through the woes.

godspeed,

freedom

Yes saved, but Quickened? Caught up? Changed in the twinkling of an Eye?

Quote:
Now I know you are saying you believe you are saved. But why are you only believing that to be a partial salvation. As if the work on the cross was not all. Did Jesus not say "it is finished". He purchased us. We are His. And the bible is clear that we can not be snatched from Him. Now granted we can choose to reject and walk away from Him. But that is our choice. But as long as we believe, as long as we seek Him, He is to be found. He is our advocate who fights for us. He is our redeemer. And He loves us, loves us enough that though we were yet in sin, He died for us on the cross. How much more so would He not do for us if we are calling upon His name, believing in Him and trying to live according to His ways. Notice I said trying.
Salvation has levels, there are the least and the greatest. Salvation is not being Elect, A Saint, A holy one, nor righteousness. Its just salvaged from the chains of Satan. According to our Faith and Belief which are represented in our walk, are we more than salvaged. Salvation is a starting point not the finish line. We are to run the race with full assurance that we can become One with God.
I think many will be blown away that upon death, they are not automatically changed into a Holy person. Death does nothing but remove this most precious gift of life from us. You bring all of your cravings and wants with you. Know where does scripture say that all of your faults and weaknesses are taken from you. If you are filthy then you shall be filthy still, if you are righteous then you shall be righteous still.

Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Rev 22:12 ¶ And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Quote:
Freedom, please remember one thing. God is concerned more with our heart than with our deeds. It is into our hearts that He looks for that is where we lay up our treasures.
They are inseparable.

Quote:
Does your heart not truly sincerely seek to please God? To live for God? To be more like Him?
It does only according to the heed and diligence i give to His Word (teachings)

Quote:
If the answer to those things are yes and you sincerely are trying, why do you place so much power on the weaknesses that God knows we have. Satan only has the power that we surrender to him. He has none of his own. He was defeated that day on Calvary when Jesus purchased us with His blood.
God created us with the ability to overcome all things, He also gave us the choice to either pursue righteousness or not. According to our faith, may it be so.

Quote:
It seems like you are beating yourself up for your sins, your failures, your weakness. Why? If God forgives you, forgive yourself. Commit those things to God and try to overcome them through His strength by all means, but remember that God tells us clearly that His grace is sufficient for us and that in our weakness He is strong. His strength, is perfected.
No, i'm just desiring to be worthy of receiving of His fulness and i am learning each day the process of being His Son. The blessing of the Gift is that we can grow from grace to grace and keep our eyes on the Glory of God, and His glory increases as we become One with Him, through living as His Son taught us.

Quote:
Rely on Him for that. Yes be active. Do your best. But trust Him at His word for He tells us clearly that His word will not come back void to those of us that believe in Him.
That belief must be backed up by actions, deeds, the straight and narrow way.

Quote:
Part of me believes that the day of perfection for me and in me comes the day that I am before the Lord and He opens that book and my name is written in it. Up to that point, all I can do is do my best to learn more about Him, more about His ways, more about how He wants me to live and try more and more to live that way. Though I know I may stumble, I allow Him to help me up and dust me off and continue to move forward.
In the immortal words of Yoda... Try Not! Do... or Do not... There is no try.

Quote:
The important thing is not that I stumbled, that a fell, that I failed in some way. The important thing is what do I do with it. Do I beat myself up about it, or do I go to my Father and say "help me Lord".
That's my method...

Quote:
You are right, the beginning to the victory is in acknowledging that we are weak, that we are imperfect. But the next step is acknowledging that He is not, and that through Him we can be strong, we can be perfected in Him and through Him.
This is walking with Him. Not letting Him walk for us. That is a recipe for failure.

Quote:
God's word says He seperates our sin from us as far as the east is from the west. If we confess it yes. Thats the key. Confessing to Him. However, Gods word also says that while He hates the sin, He loves the sinner. So much so He gave His son to die for us. His desire is that yes we will be with Him. Why would He then, being compassionate and so loving towards us turn us away because we have or still have a stumbling block in us. If our heart is sincere, if our hearts truly love Him and we are trying. Don't you think God will see that. Know that.
I bolded the part that lets us know that we can grow beyond the need for repentance, this is a beautiful promise that we can walk holy, and that God did make His children with the ability to be like Him according to the desire of our hearts.

Hbr 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

godspeed,

freedom

Personally I believe in the rapture.. but i believe the question you are asking can only be answered by one person, God. Listen. Not with your ears, but with your heart. Those who seek shall find.

What definition of rapture do you believe in?

Do you believe that everyone that has ever said the sinners prayer and is alive during the time, will be taken up?

godspeed,

freedom

Before any huge calamity hits - God has historically taken his people out of the way.

I believe the Rapture isn't just the 'taking away of his people' its also the thing that gets things really going!!! People are so TERRIFIED by what has happened - "Where did all these people go? "What if we get taken away?" Terror - bewilderment - confusion - then up steps the beast HE has all the answers. No Christians are around to question anything. Those that are left - WILLINGLY take THE MARK OF THE BEAST - which I believe to be the CHIP already around.

So, in one fell swoop - Christ takes his Bride out of harms way........
Those left behind are so traumatised they are ready to take the chip - listen to a ONE WORLD LEADER with all the answers and UNITE against any other weird things.....Look at Tom Cruise. I can just imagine HIM going on TV and telling eveyone the ALIENS THAT DROPPED US OFF MILLIONS OF YEAR AGO HAVE COME TO COLLECT the ones who were harming 'Earths Karma' or something.........LOL.....

So The Rapture fits the bill.

i am alive in CHRIST because i am a believer. the dead in CHRIST are unbelievers. during the 2nd coming they are likely to fight CHRIST'S reforms. the dead in CHRIST crucified our LORD about 33ad. the 2nd coming HE will come as KING. the believers (alive in CHRIST) will support CHRIST and they will be needed to bring HIS kingdom on earth. when i die to this world, i will still be alive in CHRIST.

Okay,
And if it doesn't happen as you believe? What do you think those that believe as you do.... will do?
