Not in the bible it wasn't. If I recall correctly, that change was made in 321AD by Constantine. So technically, unless you believe Constantine got a direct missive from god that his holy day had suddenly changed...you should be going to church on Saturday.
The first day of the week never was the Sabbath. It was on the first day of the week that the first disciples met to break bread. Constantine did not 'make' the change...Christ's resurrection did. It is also called "The Lord's Day".
I have yet to read that the 'Lord's Day' = 'Sunday'

The first hour of the day is 6am. To come very early means that they were there earlier. If they came before 6am.....that means Jesus resurrected before that.
1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
I don't think anyone here is saying we don't need to follow Christ's teachings, in fact, Christ took the 10 commandments and RAISED the standards on virtually every commandment. So indeed, the New Covenant calls for more refining than the old law.
But as I said, let's look at some scriptures here.
First, this quote caught my eye while browsing through this thread:

Here, try this one on:
Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. Romans 10:4
But even more telling and even more perplexing and even more scripture we should come before the Lord in prayer over is this from Hebrews:
If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people), why was there still need for another priest to come—one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law. He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar. For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. For it is declared:
"You are a priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek."
The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God. Hebrews 7:11-19
Now what, you law abiding citizens of the kingdom of God, do you do with that?
Did you read that? "THE FORMER REGULATION IS SET ASIDE" and "CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW"?
Do you believe the words of the Bible or not?
Maybe that's REALLY what we're discussing here.
There's two REALLY good threads about this and neither are very long. I would encourage you to read through them both and then just seek God's face on what's for you. By all means, the Bible is clear, if you need the law to keep you in line, do what is necessary. So if you need to follow the law to be able to execute the two greatest commandments "Love God, Love People" then knock yourself out. But don't condemn others 'who the Son has set free indeed!"
There are over 250 laws in the Old Testament and now we follow about 11. We have been freed.
Well the whole law hangs on two laws 'Love your neighbor as yourself' and 'Love God w/ your whole mind, heart, soul, and strength'. But the principles of the law covenant still remain so they are beneficial for us to know.
