How Will You, As an Unbeliever, React to the Rapture? (sin, eternity)

As a Christian, I'm looking forward to the rapture in which the fundamentalist freak branch (of Christianity), those who live to make everyone else miserable (while being miserable in their own skin), get beamed up, leaving the rest of us to enjoy our lives. I will look forward to sharing the planet with everyone, regardless of their skin color, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and/or religion or lack thereof. The sooner that those who have torn our country (and world apart) through religion persecution, judgment, etc. leave - the better it will all be.
If I went and wasted any more of my time with religion, I would be wrong to do so.
Have you not listened to anything I've posted here? I've done the research. I've done the study. Religion and god-belief comes up completely lacking in any credibility. I've spent thousands of hours of my life in church services, and hundreds more reading many different versions of your precious bible, and I still don't believe. I spent many many hours as a child on my knees begging a non-existent god to reveal himself to me, and he never did -- because he almost assuredly doesn't exist. I slept with a bible. I agonized over the smallest "sins", thinking I was going to burn in hell. I suffered constant criticism and abuse for asking the most innocent questions about faith and god. None of it ever struck me as the least bit credible, despite WANTING and YEARNING to believe how my parents told me things were.
If it makes you feel better to believe in magical fairy tales, be my guest. But don't pull out your pompous I-know-better-than-thou attitude and tell me I'm going to burn in hell forever or that I don't know what I'm talking about. Non-believers were invited into this thread, so don't argue with us now about being here or what we think. You wanted opinions from us, you got 'em. So knock off the criticism and have a discussion, don't give us a sermon.
Unless of course you really want to drive every potential convert away. Then you're doing an EXCELLENT job of it.

I will pray that you remember this thread in those days.

Think of it this way:
If you are right, while we Christians will not go to heaven, we have gained many friendships and we might have improved our life by hopefully being better human beings, improved our general happiness, and the belief in eternal life may allow us to die with dignity and hope. If you are wrong, then you have no chance at heaven since you have been given full knowledge of Christ and have subsequently rejected Him.
If I am going make an error, I would rather believe than not believe. Eternity, afterall, is a very long time.
Besides, we are wired for spirituality. I wonder why that is?

Don't you see how wrong that is? I can't just say "I believe" because I do not. I can't pretend to believe, and go through the motions, because I...don't...believe. Period.
And again, you're falling back on Pascal's Wager, which is easily refuted:
However, I'm going to bow out of this thread, as it is moving in a direction where I will feel uncomfortable saying some things that I feel like saying. If it were in a different forum, and not deep down here in the dedicated Christian forum, I'd stick around. But here...nope. Too many sensibilities to offend.

SSS out, cya.
I stand by my opinion and my faith. Refuted? Hardly.

No one has a holier-than-thou attitude. I am among the worst offenders in my sin. You were invited here for your opinion on how you would react to a Rapture. Many of us Christians believe this will occur, and some of us believe it will be soon and before the tribulation. In any event, I wanted to shed light on the event if and when it does occur, and I want as many people as possible to know exactly what happened so that they can also be saved, albeit under different conditions, so they will not be deceived by the great Deceiver himself.
If you are being driven away because of it, then there is nothing I can do about that. My Lord tells me to spread His Gospel, the rest is between the receiver and Him. I'm not going to beat you over the head with it, that's not my job nor is it my responsibility as to what you do with the information.
