That's true, he isn't because it wouldn't make sense to unbelievers; sin? what's sin?

I am curious Shana. I told you in that verse John is talking to Jews who are the elect and saying that the gospel is not meant for just the Jewish elect but the Gentile elect also. So why do you keep taking this verse out of context?

Hi there, Fundy, I don't agree with your interpretation. It's that simple He is the propitiation for the sins of the elect (all) and for the sins of the world. Why do you keep misinterpreting this verse God bless.

It doesn't matter if you agree with it, the question is, is it right? it's either right or wrong?

What was John assigned to?

Where was he in this verse?

Who was he addressing?

You have taken it out of context. Is my interpretation wrong?

He is not the propitiation for the sins of the devil, Christ did not shed one drop of blood for the devil, satan..

How about the lost, beloved, the workers of iniquity that you often post about? That is what I am addressing. God bless.

What is amazing about these debates about the elect, imputation and hell and so forth is not so much what is the correct doctrine or not regarding the subjects ,but the militant defence of a mis conception of God who is Almighty and with whom nothing is impossible is brought down to the level of human reason.

It's man that chooses one man over another , it's man that forgives some and not others , it's man who wishes the worst on his enemies. It's man who is limited to what he can do in helping and rescueing someone.

When we see children go missing , not only do the parents never give up until the children are found , but friends , family and others never give up .
Yet for some unknown reason we believe God who actually knows where we are is not willing to go greater lengths than this to find the lost.
