It would take more than a one sentence answer to clarify things so that you would not misinterpret what I say . . . but I will just have to risk it. There absolutely will be consequences for our failures in this life, period. Calling it a judgment and punishment from a white throne on high is more than I am willing to accept rationally. Accepting the concept of a wrathful God is more than I am willing to cede. God is unconditional love and acceptance . . . of that I am absolutely certain! Our actions here in this life have consequences . . . so I suspect the same is true in the next stage . . . but there will be no eternal consequences for any failure to become mature in Christ . . . just corrective.

Thanks for the clarification.

"'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'"
Where does it say to verify that someone is a Christian?
