Exactly - everything does "give" God the glory (I use the term "give God the glory" meaning "to show God's glory"), which is why hell cannot exist.

Hell would not give God the glory because it leads to contradictory situations where we can either love our enemies or hate our enemies, and hey it doesn't matter, because everything "gives" God the glory, right?

so you believe everything, no matter what, does actually give God the glory?

So if God would annihilate His whole creation, it would give Him glory, if He would torture His whole creation forevermore, it would give Him glory, if He would save the whole creation it would give Him glory.

if this is your opinion - ok, but you can't use this then in favor for any doctrine, for in any case it would be to God's glory.

I could not rejoice in people burning forevermore, but scripture nowhere demands anything like that.

Exactly. Saying "everything gives God the glory" is no criteria at all. Maybe you Fundy would rejoice at people burning in "hell", but I would pester God into eternity asking Him to save those in "hell". It would bring glory to God, so why not, right?

I just was looking through the last few posts - there are a lot of IF's being thrown around. I think it's better to deal w/ what's true.

With regards to hell, we know that Satan, the beast, and the false prophet will be thrown in the lake of fire. They do not die, but are tormented forever and ever. All who will be thrown into that same lake of fire are described in Rev. 20 & 21. God does this - so it must provide Him glory - even though we don't understand it at this point.

Dear June

Hope you can now understand why i want no part of a church system that believes likes this, and yes most of christendom believes likes this but not all would admit it.

If the love bullets don't get you the love/glory flame thrower will.

If only you knew how many walkng wounded there are that are out there that have been disturbed and troubled by this belief system.

Take heart and mind protecting care.

Paul

I am sorry about that, it is was meant to be one question but turned into a whole different beast.

Paul - Think of it from my standpoint. I know this (future wrath/judgment) is coming and am letting people know. That is love - knowing that a calamity is coming and warning others - and giving them the solution that will save them.

Your standpoint says 'it's not fair' or 'it's brutal'.

Ultimately, if it's coming - then fairness or brutality will not be an issue. I know where I will be. Do you?

Fundamentalist - No need to apologize - I was just making an observation.

Sometimes people will take IF statements and run with them as if the statement is valid.
