Fundamental Fanatics of ANY Kind are the most dangerous . . . but in this day and age it is the fundamentalist Islamic fanatics that present the greatest danger to civilization globally.

Only to themselves, and their numbers are small, they are not a danger to society, like many others.

Why? Because there are more threads and posts slamming Christianity than supporting it.

What a shame.
But you fail to ask one very important question, "why". The why is that more and more people are recognizing the danger it poses to society, and to the future of humanity globally.

The extremes in anything are a danger. In most arenas the extremists are a very small part of the total picture, be it politics or whatever. Except religion, the extremists have numbers that they are a clear and present danger. That should be obvious as even the moderate and middle of the road crowd are becoming alarmed at the words and actions of these fringe extremists.

Probably. Though it's not only the fundy Baptists that are mad as bats.
I believe extreme religious zealots of all stripes are a danger to themselves and to others.

Yea, I have personally seen those that rage against bat mad fundy baptists because they are so moderate.

Life in the bible belt does give one a ring side seat for the freak show.

This forum has been my first and only real exposure to the "whackadoos" that exist and the thought that they are wandering free out there scares the hell out of me. I can think of eight on this forum alone that are true loonies . . . and more seem to be infiltrating every day.

The danger is not that of a particular group, it's the individual ignorance and narrow-mindedness within that group.

This has also been my experiance also. While attending a fundamentalist baptist school growing up I thought their fixation with the 'wrath of God' as opposed to the 'love of God' rather odd.....but most were still nice people who merely yearned for everyone to 'see the light' as they saw it.While they mostly expected and yearned for the rapture to come any day because the 'signs were all there',[35 years later they are still waiting],I never heard any of the intense dislike for non-believers,other denominations and religions that some on here post daily.

That's because a lot of what you see posted on here daily is made-up nonsense posted by non-religious, anti-christian bigots.

You should see it in color

YouTube - Street Preaching at Asheville's Bele Chere 2010

and the previous year

YouTube - Witches & Warlocks at BeleChere?

That's about a mile from my house (as the crow flys), a ring side seat to the freak show.
