good luck to you!! Its not AA, but I'd say it ain't bad.
Ha, too funny. We were in Ypsi for a few years while we went to EMU for our undergrads

We have friends up in that area and it's really pretty. If we didn't mind the commute, we'd definitely consider it. We're just so used to walking everywhere that now we are spoiled, I think! I *love* being able to walk to get groceries and to the park and wherever. It's nice. However, someday I think we'll be ready for the peacefulness of the countryside. I grew up in an area like Lebanon and I do miss some things about it, like how quiet it was and actual darkness at night. It's amazing how you can never really see the night sky in the city because of all the streetlights and cars.

Anyway, good luck to you, too! Thanks so much for the info on Northside.

Take a look at Sitwell’s, a coffee bar on Ludlow Ave. in Clifton. It’s a really cool area with an established safe and clean feel. It’s something like Hamilton Ave. in Northside but a little nicer. If it’s just a bar you are looking for try Kaldi’s in Over-the-Rhine on Main Street. It’s sort of a coffee/bar sort of place and I think it might be what you are looking for.

I would agree that the best place for a libealish bar would be Northside.

As a native to the area, I realize there isn't much of a liberal scene in Cincy (Mt. Lookout was liberal-ish but more on the yupster side), but if Northside is where it's at AND it's safe (for a city neighborhood), I will look more thoroughly. Their website makes it look great (northside.net).
How is Mt. Lookout liberalish? That might be the most absurd comment ever...

Clifton and Northside are pretty much it. Mt Adams has the "young crowd bars" but its mostly the post fraternity set which = conservative sheep.
