Ok here's the deal...I'll be working downtown this winter and hoping to find an apt close by that would be an easy commute. My price range is 1bdrm/studio $800-$1000/monthly. Thanks in advance.

Look across the river in Covington or Newport as well.

Keep an eye on the Eden Park area. There are not a huge amount of options, but it is incredibly convenient to downtown, as well as I-71 North and south as well as Columbia Parkway. You will also get a much nicer place than you would for the same cost downtown.

Quick Zillow search:

Rental Listings - All 12 Rentals - Zillow

I'd recommend any of the places on the map. If you have any criteria keeping you out of downtown, please let us know.

Good luck!

The bus service isn't so hot from the Eden Park area. But, if you get up to Park and Kemper in a place like the Verona then maybe the bus goes by on WmHT.
