Great news, but it sounds like we may have to deal with this again a year from now.

What a relief it is to learn that the majority of shareholders rejected Peltz's bid for a board seat! Trust me, Peltz's entrance into P&G's board room would be as destructive as Grendel's crash into the Mead Hall in "Beowulf."

Wall St. investment banks and hedge funds are destroying the United States. We're safe for a year or so but it's unlikely that P&G will survive to celebrate its 200th birthday in Cincinnati in 2037.

This situation perfectly illustrates the pitfalls of a metro becoming too overly reliant on one corporation as a key player in bringing well paying jobs to its local economy. This should be a wake up call to the region. If this metro remains smugly content that things will always stay the same as it is then it is going be in for a rude awakening. Its commonplace for major corporations to eventually depart the city where they first started for greener pastures just to stay competitive in the global marketplace. P&G is no exception to the rule because the bottom line is viability and growth. This region better start focusing on building the right kind of infrastructure it needs to compete in the global marketplace as to be able to sustain healthy economic growth non withstanding the departure of a major corporation.

^People like Roxanne Qualls have been warning of this for 20 years. Unfortunately she was defeated in 2013 by the character who has been actively keeping out-of-town investors out of Cincinnati. Just like the Luken boys before him.

Only slightly less than 1%. I heard on the news that he might be asking for a recount

I heard it could take weeks to verify the original count. I have no idea who it takes so long to count 12 people .

Yes, most unfortunately and maybe tragically for Procter & Gamble, a recount is in progress. People don't realize how monumental a victory it was for P&G to detour Peltz's entry into their boardroom and forestall a potential business/civic setback of epic proportions. However, like Freddy Krueger, this nightmarish Wall Street apparition isn't about to vanish anytime soon.

I think it's important that everyone realizes just how much damage Peltz and Ed Gardner, his Triad partner, are doing to Cincinnati. This applies not only to P&G, but also to GE as they maneuver to infiltrate and destroy both these companies from the inside.

Probably the "new math" we've all heard about.
