Ok, I am creating a Cincinnati sports thread, just to have discussions about the sports in the Cincinnati/Dayton area. You can also talk about college and highschool sports as well in the area. I know University of Cincinnati and University of Dayton have some great sports programs. The Reds were the first baseball team created, and the Bengals are a popular NFL team. So this thread is being created to talk about Cincinnati and Dayton sports.

BTW, please remember to follow forum rules. No fighting or getting out of control. Posts will be deleted, and if fighting somehow happens, infractions can be given depending on how severe the fight is. LOL, I know sport talk can get a little out of control.

So you can post articles on any new sports news, talk about a trade deal, a recent game, or anything affecting the sport teams in SW Ohio.

Bottom line -- I am quickly closing in on my 7th decade of life -- pretty much all of it spent in the Cincinnati area. And I just don't have the luxurary of waiting for next year!

The Reds try to improve but seemingly continuously fail. Their season is usually over in mid-August. Go to the ball park in September and you will see a minor league team.

The Bengals are just plain incompetent - their mom-and-pop organization and approach to running an NFL team were long ago obsolete.

So this year I have decided to give up on the local teams and root for OSU! They may not win it all but at least they have a clue!

I'm done with the Bengals -- their re-signing of Chris Henry was the last straw for me. I've switched my allegiance to the Colts.

You know what I would like to do? I'd love to put Mike Brown in as Quarter Back for just one snap -- Let him get sacked! See how quickly he could fix the offensive line then!
