Hehe. sorry for spending your money frivolously.

I'm sure you will find something in Hyde PArk that is really nice and safe for $900. Are you interested in a high rise or multi unit 3 story?

The Grassmoor is really beautiful and very safe. It went condo but I am sure there are some rental units. Its a straight shot over to St. Bernard by car and takes about 10 minutes. Immediately to the East is the Regency, a high rise with all amenities. And further to the east along Madison Road (all of these are essentailly at the corner of Madison and Dana) are a series of 3 story apartments. They will have addresses between 2400 and 2700 Madison Road if you are looking at listings. Are you working at P&G?

I tried to find a phone number for the Grassmoor but couldn't. I'm sure there are condos there that can be rented. Same for the Regency. the Regency number is 513-871-0100. They are condos too but there are almost always rental units available there.

I already went to Hyde Park last week and wasn't able to find anything decent under $1,000... I don't care about high rise or multi unit 3 story. I just want a clean place .. no bugs. A definite plus is an open kitchen so you can talk to people in another room easier.

Yeah, I'll be working at P&G. I was able to find a number for the Grassmoor and I left my info to be contacted back from a potential renter. I tried the regency as well but i don't think I'll hear back from them.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Bedford Terrace doesn't have a place now and Grandin was expensive for something crummy... However, I'll check into the other two options you told me about... again, THANKS for the help!!

2. I'm moving to Cincinnati as well and will be working in St. Bernard area... any recommendation for 2 bedroom apartments that are 15 mins away and in a SAFE neighborhood. Of course, the less expensive a place the better... but if possible I'd like to keep it around $1,000.

THANKS!!!
Ok, so I found this place "Centennial Station" apartment in Hyde Park... it is outside my price range but it looks very safe and clean... Does anyone know anything about this place?

Centennial Station is isolated from its neighbors, but it is in Madisonville, not Hyde Park. It looks OK. You could call District Two, CPD and ask them whether there has been much crime there. 5139794400.

Centennial Station is near the intersection of Brotherton and Erie and Red Bank Road in Madisonville, and it's perfectly safe. It's an urban neigbhborhood, so of course you have to maintain some common sense. But there's nothing to recommend against it. Nice neighborhood to walk in, and a quick walk or ride down Erie Avenue into Hyde Park. That area has a lot of big Victorian homes that were built by railroad execs when Madisonville was at the end of the local line.

It might be a minute or two longer than your 15-minute commute limit to St. Bernard, but not by much.

I was told by someone who lives at that place that it takes them only 10mins to get to St. Bernard

Here's the story on the commute. Dana Ave. runs out of Hyde Park to the west. It turns into Clinton Springs, then Mitchell. Mitchell runs into Spring Grove which will take you to Ivorydale. This has been the same road since I commuted to there in 1967.

From Madisonville, it doesn't appear to make sense to drive all the way through Hyde Park to get onto Dana but Madisonville is right on the Red Bank Xway which goes to I71 which goes to 562 which goes to Paddock which goes to Ross which goes to Mitchell Ave. near Spring Grove. And, it probably is about 10 miles that way. And at 8 am on a Sunday you probably could do it in 10 minutes. But having to commute on 71, the Red Bank Xway and 562 a recipe for traffic jams. You will spend 5 minutes every morning at Red Bank and Madison alone. We have a traffic cam that you can see 71 and 562 at least at artimis.org

If you go the surface street way. it will take you 20 minutes to get there and you don't expose yourself to the highway traffic risks. That's why I focused on the apartments at Dana and Madison. It is 10 minutes from Dana and Madison rain or shine.

PS, there is a shortcut from Mitchell to Ivorydale. Its Greenlee to Ross. Look it up.
