I’m very disappointed in C-D. 12 pages and not one mention of the honeymoon suite with the heart shaped bed and big whirlpool spa in the Poconos. Or the same in Niagra Falls.
In North America? I'd have to say of all the places I have been it is hands down Guanajuato, Mexico (and this coming from someone who grew up in Savannah, been to Charleston many times and has been to Montreal, SF, Asheville, NYC, and New Orleans): https://travelmexicosolo.com/things-...ajuato-mexico/
Funny enough I went with my best friend and it was funny feeling like the only two that weren't a couple there and we happened to stay in one of the most romantic lodgings in the city for couples too without realizing it until we got there haha. Seriously though, it is one of my most favorite cities and well worth a visit (a place I am also considering retiring too).
The other islands and away from the city are what make Hawaii romantic.Maui in particular comes to mind.
Oahu has all of that. Town and Country. I have beaches on the Windward coast and North Shore that are as beautiful as any on the outer islands, and where you may not see another person the entire time you’re there. Same for hiking. I like Maui, especially Maalaea and Honolua, but it’s probably my least favorite island.
