This is where population works in favor of states like Florida and Texas, wow....you named 7 people, Florida and Texas would TRUMP that list. What exactly do you mean by Florida, Texas, and Ohio are unhealthy?
Thanks for proving my point. Of course FL and TX would 'trump' that list. They have 10x the amount of residents. Do you not get it?
Look at these lists, all of which shows how unhealthy FL TX and OH are.
You know, while some of you are busy complaining about how not all of the states are represented, you could've just clicked "other" and explained why your state is more athletic.
I said I'm not mad that MN isn't on this list, I couldn't care less. I am a little peeved that every stupid thread is about Texas or Florida or California, like those places are meccas for everything, when in reality they aren't.
My favorite stat:
The Minnesota Boys State High School Hockey tournament draws more fans than Florida High School Football tournaments and Texas' combined...
Geeze, winter just really impedes on athlete's and their ability to showcase talent... Man... I wonder what Joe Mauer did in the winter, because he's not as good as some Florida kids who play year round.
Geeze, I wonder what Larry Fitzgerald Jr was doing all winter, makin' snowballs?
Wow, I wonder what Lindsey Vonn was doing in the wint- wait, skiing. that's right.
One more factoid: Minnesota has more golf courses per capita than any other state. And we can't even Golf Nov-Mar.
Lets see, Florida on the first map is at 23.3% while Minnesota is 24.8%, the second link Florida has 23.2% obese adults, Minnesota has 24.8%, Florida has 60.8% overweight adults, Minnesota has 61.9%. You really aren't proving anything with Florida, which is one of the healthiest states in the country. Look at this map:
This question is again entirely too generalized...
In the history of the NHL there are 2 players from Texas, 3 from Florida, 24 from California, 20 from Ohio, 83 from New York, 19 from Pennsylvania, 118 from Michigan, 200 from Minnesota
On the other hand most Pro Surfers come from California
Louisiana has produced the most football players per capita
California has produced the most football players in general
So again this thread is poorly crafted in my opinion.
You see on that map how much different Florida is than the rest of the south, the rest of the south shows more obesity while Florida is way leaner.
