The hicks from Omaha, siberialand think they have more to offer than the Chester, NY.

They can't even sport more than one comedy club on top of the worst climate in america. They have no pro sports within a planet of the dump, there are no jobs there, and they make peanuts compared to everywhere else.

To those that think with clarity ( no less than 500 miles inland), which do you think is the better city?

Just to highlight the stupidity of this noob popping in here and starting these threads, I direct you to her very first post.

As you'll notice in the thread, no one made any post even insinuating that Omaha had "more to offer than Rochester" and the whole debate stemmed around a fairly civil and fact based discussion regarding weather. Hell, the most pro-Rochester comment came from one of our own residents, even if he is an Omaha-hating nut job.

RocheNY seemed to think that was her cue to come waltzing in here and attempt to start a forum war using outdated stereotypes, ignorance and outright lies as her ammo. Just keep that in mind when responding to this thread.

I believe Omaha's economy is in better shape than that of Rochester. I'm sure Rochester is a nice city, but Omaha is extremely underrated. Also, Omaha is quite a bit bigger than Rochester - at least city proper. As far as the climate, Omaha is nowhere near the worst.

I live in Rochester and think the OP is annoying and using incorrect stereotypes. Stop embarrassing yourself. Both cities have different things to offer.

While that is true, Syracuse which is smaller in city proper than Rochester has a metro of the same size as Omaha, if not slightly bigger, to put that into perspective. Rochester's metro has just over 1 million people. It's location might be better in terms of other areas and places to go as well.

Why wouldn't they? Because Rocheny thinks Omaha sucks, even though Omaha makes almost twice per capita than rochester?

If you do your research, you will see that the O! has a very low cost of living, relatively high wages (which is why we are always in the top 5 economical categories).

We have much more going for us than the overgrown NYC exuburb.

Easy choice Omaha. Its a decent medium city with some urban feel. Much more going on there then Rochester NY. Much more important of a city. That was an easy choice.
