If trends continue as they have Houston will have 2,996,099 in total city population. Now think of it's metro. If it grows as it has been adding approx 900k every decade the Houston metro will be at 9.7 million by 2050. What social demographic measurement it is you see that experts and numbers don't makes me wonder.

There's this link where scientists predict the future. www.newsoffuture.com and in it is this prediction that the US will be at about 419 million people in 2050.... and 24.4% of it will be hispanics. Considering that Houston has a large hispanic population these numbers of Houston are quite likely.

News of Future: A Quarter of the US Population Hispanic
Let me guess . . . You're from Houston.

I have always defended Houston! The only bad thing I've ever said about it was the JP Morgan Chase Tower being ugly.

I'm originally from Idaho, if you really want to know. I lived in Houston for 8 years. I lived in DFW for 4 years. Austin, 12.5 years. In Las Cruces, NM for 1.5 years. And I am now in San Francisco. If this interests you any.
