What are your top 10. Cost of Living being the number one factor, then based on amenities they offer. I am talking cities with at least 1.5 million metro population.

Cultural
History
Skyline
Walkable
Transportation
Housing Stock
Jobs
Food

I don't know... anything else. I'm curious to see what others picks are....

IMO, Chicago gives you more bang for your buck more than any US city.

Except there isn't a lot of bang going on in Chicago other than Americas two favorite pastimes...eatin' and shoppin'. Chicago is a tiresome city that is very aesthetic, but poorly operated and consistently ranks low on performance. If a skyline and variety of food and shopping is your thing, Chicago is a good option. But affordible? Not for the average Chicagoan. Sales tax, food deserts, gas prices, hidden fees...tolls..some of the very worst when compared to other cities. Salaries in Chicago don't keep up with the city's core costs.
The criteria the open listed

your opinion doesn't hold much value to me... one is able to click on all of your past posts and see why. Rather than bashing Chicago (again), why don't you come up with your own answer.

The 2nd Tier cities that often are overshadowed on City vs City by the Mega-city love fest that dominates all conversations around here...These top 5 2nd tier cities offer the best bang for your buck IMO

Pittsburgh
Minneapolis
Cincinnati
St Louis
Baltimore

Not really alot of cities offer high amenities with a much lower COL than Philadelphia...and if choosing to live where all of Philadelphia's Amenities are located in Center City the COL skyrockets.

Never been to Chicago. Can't imagine it is at all affordable, especially in a thread asking specifically about cost of living.
