I'll take "myopic stupidity" over blind hatred any day.

You have expressed nothing BUT blind hatred in this thread, for a place you know absolutely nothing of. You must be so proud.

So in your opinion the organizers' responsibility is only to secure the venues? I guess that's probably what they were thinking. Therein lies the problem.

Have you ever even been to any of these places?

Miami - hate almost everything about Miami, the nice beaches do not make up for everything else. plus I like having actual seasons. I hate hot weather, love cold.
Los Angeles - ditto ^
New York City (I'd live on Long Island or Upstate, just not NYC itself) - way too populated and I don't like the housing style there.
Detroit - crime infested
New Orleans - don't know what it is but I just didn't like it

Report it to the loser cops in this foresaken in my experience badly managed city, and they say "hey we cant do anything about it"
No offense. But what do you expect them to do? Put out an all points bulletin for your missing personal possessions? Should they assign a few detectives to the case and have them question the local homeless population?

Give me a break! If I was a resident of San Fran I personally would be happy the cops acted the way they did. Why should tax payer money be wasted on you when you can't even take the appropriate precautions when parking your car in a major city?

If you leave a laptop, camera and loose cash in a car you should probably expect it to get broken into. It seems like you should be mad at yourself... not the "loser" cops.

Does it matter? He/she isn't wrong, exactly! I wouldn't rule out living in New Orleans or Chicago though, if that's what you mean.

It shows ignorance because they are not correct.
