There's some truth to it--and I've never lived in Boston, but on my trips to the city I've always gotten a kick out of the old school Boston types. They're ball-busters, but they're engaging to talk to and witty in an Irish sort of way...
Haha yeah that's funny it's either one or the other-I guess that's what Hollywood will do to a place.
The Fighter was a pretty good movie based on a true story and takes place in Charleston I believe.

My mom is 1st generation American from Dorchester and believe you me, she is a tough lady haha.

Why are people saying San Francisco? I don't really agree or disagree but if I were to pick a Bay Area city it would definitely be Oakland over SF.

Anyone who braves Detroit has to be tough (whether physically, emotionally or mentally).

Tough and snobby are two different things. People on the west coast are not tough. Toughness goes to New York and Philadelphia..followed by Baltimore and Boston

I'd agree with this, I'd throw in Chicago and Detroit too.

Obviously you guys have never eaten rice-a-roni. We are also talking about the same city that Danny Tanner raised three girls in. San Francisco, doesn't get any tougher.

Any city where a show like Full House is set can't be too tough.
