I picked Mediterranean but I also enjoy the 4 season climate of the Midatlantic. Florida's subtropic is nice for awhile as well. As long it's not too cold, I'm pretty fine actually.
You may hate the climate that poster labeled as Mediterranean, but that isn't really a Mediterranean climate. Take LA, the average high's downtown are in in the mid-80's in the summer through Sept, but with lower humidity it's quite comfortable. You will get a get heat waves a couple of times a year that push temperatures to 100+, but all together that's maybe a week or two total, certainly not half the year. And it's not wet and gloomy half the year. It's still 70% sunshine in winter, and even during May Gray and June Gloom, it's still sunny about two thirds of the time.
For me 100°F is hell, which should never occurs, and 80°F is very hot, which is acceptable only in heat wave time. I prefer low-60's - mid-70's in summer. 70% sunshine is not bad for mid-winter, but it isn't very good in mid-summer for me (too much sun).
Humid for me with 4 definite seasons. Rain should fall frequently spring-fall and snow should fall frequently late fall-early spring. I like lots of trees, greenery and lakes/streams/rivers, etc.
Arid climates dry out my skin, give me nosebleeds and usually have a depressing lack of greenery and water.
Mediterranean climates are also bad since they have a dry season where everything browns over and gets dry.

This, 100%. Coastal California is lovely to visit, for example, but nothing beats the lush flora/fauna of the Eastern US (for most of the year, at least).
Agree with another poster that the Mid-Atlantic has the most appealing and balanced four-season climate without too many weather extremes during any season.
I don't understand; don't four-seasons climates also have a season where everything gets brown??
Yes, but "dead season" in humid continentals is winter, which is OK. Mediterraneans have "dead season" in summer, which is very bad, because I expect to have maximum biomass in summer. "Dead season" in humid continentals is caused by cold, not by drought. "Dead season" in medits is caused by drought.

Humid for me. I have to have it. Can’t deal with dry weather.
