The best cities in the summer are mostly northern ones where you can really appreciate the warm weather. Boston and Chicago are two that come to mind. Right on the water, lots to see and do outside.

San Francisco has fantastic summer weather. Not too hot at all. Which is nice when you are walking around the city and the hills.

Denver has one of the best! Not extremely hot, lots of sun, many events, great food. I am already planning my trip there this summer. Pretty underrated.

People keep repeating Chicago and Seattle. What makes them so amazing? What's so different?

Somewhere in Canada, I hate the heat. Quebec City, perhaps.

Ah the sweet sound of frustration, agony, anger. It's ok TC just do what everybody else is doing in the PNW and blame all those things on your horridly depressing (agonizing) weather.

Speaking of facts here's some for you. Mean Number of Clear Days - Western Regional Climate Center (WRCC)

I want 9 days back, I generously gave you Seattle people 80 days and you top out with 71 clear cloud days in a year. So let's assume all 71 of those days are in summer (LOL), your summer is 2 months and 11 days long. LOL

LOL Bon appetit (facts)

Wow because Seattle is on a coast line it gets lots of high clouds . So even when its sunny and warm alot of the time there is clouds . Partly cloudy and sunny. And most of the time in the summer the couds burn off later in the day. But alot of people like the high cloud cover for seattles sunny dry mild summers. They average 70 to 80 degrees most people arent affected by the high clouds since they burn off and give a beautifull day.

I can only speak for my native Seattle. After lots of cloudy days during the late fall, winter, and early spring, high pressure develops over Western Washington like clockwork in early July and lasts through most of September. What makes it amazing is with the exception of a few days here and there, this sunny and warm weather lasts day after day with only morning clouds that burn off. There are rarely storms during this period, and when it does get hot (over 90), it backs off almost always within 2-3 days.
