I hear about it all the time, specifically on most Houston radio stations when I am there. Common to hear at any Aeros, Astros, or Rockets home games. Also see many restaurants, night clubs, and bars displaying that name

DC needs nicknames unrelated to the government IMO, everyone seems to forget this is a city beyond the government

Birmingham is also: Magic City
Seattle: Emerald City
Los Angeles: City of Angels
Detroit: Motor City or Motown
Chicago: Chi-town

I kinda like Gotham for NYC. The Big Easy (New Orleans) is kind of unique, too, though a bit overused.

"Chi-town" is just cringe-worthy. As are most other nicknames that include "town." Especially where it's just a letter. A-Town, H-Town, etc. I mean why? Were they just bored?

Cincinnati used to be called Porkopolis.

Does anyone know of a nickname Miami uses? Never heard of Miami referred to as anything but Miami.

Will Smith should have patented one in his song.

Reno, NV: "The Biggest Little City in the World"

Colorado Springs: (Should be) "The Littlest Big City in the World"

Geez, THANK YOU. Dunno of any city our size, where there is NOWHERE to shop for clothes, at least for the urban/hip-hop flavor, there's NOTHING.
