A very overrated thing. Why the hell do I want the bright obnoxious sun on me all the time? What part of that is appealing? Buy hey, everybody to their own I guess. The perfect weather is shades without rain imo. I don't see how you top that. A Seattle that doesn't rain would almost be like dream weather if such a thing existed.

Yea I realize I'm in the minority here, but even places like LA and San Diego get too hot for me at times. I prefer the boring mild climate of SF. I am in no way saying SF has the best weather, just the best for me.

Also I hate the snow, and the kind of weather that comes with it.

Very few people are going to have the sun on them "all the time"- most of us work indoors for a large chunk of the daytime hours without sunlight. Crazy that after that, generally speaking people like to get out into the 'obnoxious sun' instead of overcast skies. What else about it is appealing? Well, it provides essential nutrients for your body, fosters outdoor activities, can give you a nice tan skin tone, and basically keeps you alive.

You don't need sun for outdoor activities, you can get your greatest burns in haze and people can survive just fine without blaring sunshine. You can also say it prematurely ages you, gives you cancer and makes you sweat profusely. It's all personal preference. I like a mix of sunny and not-sunny myself, but everyone's different.

I tend to have better mornings (and better days) when I see the sunrise before I go to work. So I would choose a sunnier city out west.
