Name a Texas city or metropolitan region that is the best for recreation, fitness and wellness, and outdoor enthusiasts. Name another Texas city or metro region that is the worst for, again, recreation, fitness and wellness, and the outdoor enthusiast.
i'm sure many people would agree that austin is the best city for outdoor recreation
i wouldn't say there's a "worst", but second best would probably be a toss up between dallas and houston. depending on who you talk to, dallas' weather is probably more fit for outdoor activities, but houston has excellent parks with lots and lots of trees
Houston has its fare share of parks and recreational areas (Memorial Park, Hermann Park, Discovery Green, Buffalo Bayou Park/Elanore Tinsley Park, Jamail Skate Park...that's right a skate park...and of course the Bayou itself) which a LOT of people don't realize. I'd say the toss up is between Dallas or San Antonio. Then again, I don't know much about either.
^^^^ is not a texas resident. this thread should really be placed in the texas forum so you can get the best, most informed answers
Doesn't matter.. I've spent enough time in Texas to know what I'm talking about. And this thread is in "city vs. city", open to all. Sorry you don't like it, but that's the way it is.
Not really; you don't have the water activities in Austin like you do in Houston. It's all about what you prefer more; you can go hiking, hunting, fishing, and all that in Houston as well as go to the beach, boardwalk, and more.
Location: The land of sugar... previously Houston and Austin

Apparently not. Sounds more like someone going off stereotypes or inexperience if you ask me.
