I would like to say record labels need to branch out more then just Los Angeles,Nyc and Atlanta.

Country Music cities that really needs Major Record Labels

Olkahoma city- has a good country vibe going on.
Tulsa- the same as well
Little Rock- has a lot of singers of country.

Hip Hop Music cities that really needs Major Record Labels
Dallas- has good r&b/hiphop vibe going on
Houston- All I can say is the city is the most underrated city in America
Shreveport- A very well put together hiphop scene

Detroit's fine without the major music labels snatching up our prized artists.

Doesn't really seem all the important for a musician to be in the same music video with Justin Bieber and 20 million other big name pop stars just to get exposure (and money, but of course everyone knows the money is the only part that matters).

Going major is considered bad now. Lots of mainstream artist are either going independent or already are.
