I would Put Denver as the best Hockey city outside of New England and the Upper Midwest! We have the Avs (NHL) Denver University (Ton of National Championships) and plenty of HS hockey! Also have Colorado College and AF right down the road! CC has multiple Championships as well! The AVS also had the longest sell out streak in the NHL for the better part of a decade.

I know it's "no order", but I'm sure that if you can have San Jose up there, you should have St. Louis, Dallas, Anaheim, Raleigh and Tampa up there as well.... just sayin'.

Minneapolis/St. Paul has to be at, or near the top. Between the Wild of the NHL, colleges and high school, you have a great area for hockey.

Boston is another solid city that has long and rich history with not only the Bruins of the NHL, but of college and high school hockey as well. The Beanpot, which is a small tournament between Harvard, Boston University, Boston College and Northeastern University, has been played every year since the early 1950s.

MSP is easily #1; it is the only metro I have ever been to where hockey is a way of life.

Yeah I forgot about Minneapolis.

Thinking about it more, San Jose probably doesn't belong with those. I just find that their playoff crowds are loud as hell.
