I love visiting DC. The National Mall, the monuments, the museums and beautiful architecture of some of the government buildings combine to form a grandeur that makes me proud that it is our nation's capital. As a place to live, however, I prefer a city with a denser urbanity. Because of DC's layout, it will never have a concentration of residential, employment, restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and cultural outlets the size and scale of Center City.

College a tie? Everything else I agree with. Philly is top 5 for college education. DC has Howard, Georgetown, and UDC but that's about it..
For me, it's largely because DC has a stronger and more stable economy. Also, it has lots of high-paying jobs for people with technical backgrounds and advanced degrees.
These factors would be very important to me no matter where I live.
WHAT?!? Bahahahahaha
