I think Pittsburgh should also be up there. I also hear great things about KC - never been to game there so cant comment
I should have mentioned that these are the places where I have seen games that struck me as either being great, or bad. San Francisco would be pretty high on my list once they move into their new stadium. Candlestick is awful so that's why I left them off of my list. I've never seen a game in Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Washington or Seattle. Those are cities that have some pretty strong and vocal fan bases.
Which of these cities are the best NFL cities in America for the 2013 season?
If not listed explain why that city should be considered as top notch!
-Stadium Invesco might not compare with me like the old Mile High Stadium, during the 1980's and 1990's it was rated amongst the top 5 in noisiest stadiums, including domed stadiums.
-Fan Support The Broncos are second to the Washington Redskins regarding consecutive sellouts. It goes back to 1970.
-Game day experience The fans rock the place!
-Media Relevance The local media covers them closely
-Team Performance Until a few years ago, Denver was in the top 5 regarding super bowl appearances. They haven't been to one since 1999. Total super bowl appearances as of now is six.
-X-factor The 12th man- the fans. I ought to know. I've been to 277 games at Bears Stadium/Mile High Stadium/Invesco Field At Mile High/Sports Authority Field At Mile High going back to 1962.
Been to other stadiums as well, will weigh in on them a little later.
You've got ATLANTA up there, but not Dallas or Houston....
Not votin'.
If you would of read my earlier post a stated that I forgot to add the texas teams. Don't here much about them up here in the PNW and just had a momentary brain lapse.
It's really not, lol. I can't think of a team with more bandwagoners.
Pittsburgh has great sports fans and the Steelers are very well supported. We're not talking about the Miami Heat here in terms of fake, bandwagon fans.
Look at an NFL stadium when the Steelers are playing on the road and you will pretty much always see a good number of Terrible Towels being waved.
So this poll is not a very accurate poll. Best NFL city hands down is Dallas. Sure, the Cowboys are starting with another pathetic year, but the fan base them beyond belief. The stadium, is THE stadium all NFL teams dream of. Recently read they are the highest valued NFL team (dollar value).
1. Dallas
2a. Green Bay
2b. Pittsburgh
4. Washington, D.C.
5. Philadelphia
6. NYC
7. San Francisco
8. New Orleans
