New York is the headquarters for NBC, FOX, ABC, Comedy Central, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, etc. The important influence is in New York, the Hollywood "waste-3-hours-of-my-life-watching-people-in-movies-get-paid-to-pretend-like-I-did-when-I-was-3-years-with-Matchbox-cars" influence is unimportant.
Atlanta is the Headquarters of CNN, The Weather Channel, TBS, TNT, Headline News, TCM, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, as well as corporate giants like Coca-Cola, Georgia-Pacific, Delta Airlines, UPS, etc. It doesn't mean that its impact on the culture is anything like that from Los Angeles, despite a huge media presence, much like New York.

I never said Atlanta wasn't an influence. But it's not nearly, not nearly as influential as NYC in the real world where money and big business lurks.

It's almost as safe as Boston, MA. LAPD's taking the same steps NYPD did. Within two years or possibly less, Boston will be more dangerous than LA.
