I always thought that the old industrial city by the lake called Milwaukee is underrated. Its actually a nice city without all the problems (although it has its own like other cities do) of its big neighboring city Chicago might have. Its like a mini Chicago but with a lower cost of living

Philly doesn't seem as underrated to me as
Some of others on the poll- but I'm not surprised. I think Houston and especially dallas don't get nearly enough credit as they deserve. I mean Houston is 3rd in population in the USA, has a nice super fast growing skyline, pretty international city, diverse, and has a great job market. And Dallas to me has one of the most underrated skylines in the country.. I think it's nicely done and looks great at night.
Houston is actually 4th in population. But yes it is highly underrated. Houston doesn't get much love on this site.

Miami, San Diego, Austin, Philadelphia, Boston and Denver shouldn't be in the poll.

EASILY philadelphia. if it were anywhere else in the country, it would be considered the alpha city of that region. but because it's near NYC, it gets no recognition. On top of that, the DC area is growing rapidly as well, and taking even more attention away from PHilly.

San Antonio Tx is highly underrated and should be added to poll. Its one of the oldest cities in america, has two theme parks in city limits and the largest water park in america in the metro area.

Just what I was thinking. We're so underrated we didn't even make the poll. Now if skyline is the deciding factor I've already heard ours is lacking. I'm more interested in the historical restoration than skyscrapers though - especially Alamo Plaza.

I would agree here.

Being situated between NYC and DC really takes away from Philadelphia's significance in the region, something Boston doesn't have to deal with and IMO Boston benefits from.

Philly and Boston in terms of education and history are very similar yet it seems Boston gets more media attention for being the center of the New England region whereas Philly is too close between NYC and DC to get its own.

NYC and DC basically run the world and all media.

Most of these cities are way OVERRATED. Miami, Atlanta, Phoenix, Nashville, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Charlotte, and Denver are all very overrated for cities of their size.

Milwaukee, San Diego, and Cincinnati are probably the most underrated.

How are those cities you listed as "overrated" overrated?

Id love to hear of why you think this and your personal experiences with these cities that makes you knowledgable enough to call 9 cities overrated. I hope it's not that you heard, or drove through it the city once and all te sudden that makes you qualified enough to make that statement.
