I like how Austin was conveniently left out. Im sure it would run away if it was included.

Since the OP stated winch area is more Liberal, I will go with Miami since all three counties in the metro all have their own mix between conservative, and Liberal people. The other three cities for the most part are only really liberal in the city limits, and in close proximity to the city limits. In Miami, Palm Beach County has voted D,emocrat since 1992, and the county in 60% white, you will not find that in any of the other metros, even though President Trump basically lives there.

West Palm Beach is a city.

I don't hate Jewish people. Get the chip off your shoulder.

None of the above. Austin and Asheville.

Face it. Austin is the only truly liberal city in the state of Texas. The rest of them are 'faux liberal'. An easy way to tell how liberal a city is simply looking at the MEI scale. Atlanta out of these four was the only one to score a 100 unless you count Miami Beach for Miami. Austin was also the only one to score a 100 in Texas. Scoring a 100 is actually a lot more rarer than you might think.

http://www.nh1.com/files/mei-2014.pdf - Link to MEI scale and all of the cities(just control-F your city).

Houston is not a gay capital, never has been, and likely never will be. That's the difference between it and Atlanta. Atlanta has always been a gay capital for many decades and a place where many gay southerners fled to be themselves. It's no wonder it's a much more friendly place for gay people. Several people on the first few pages tried to make it seem like Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas were even when it came to progressiveness, acceptance, and liberalism and I constantly argued that was not true.

Now we see with this vote past that Houston is not a liberal city. It's actually quite possibly the most conservative big city in the country. The fact that gay marriage is fully legal in this country and something like this doesn't pass in one of the largest cities in the country speaks volumes.
Interesting post. Thanks.

I was referring to the county, I made no reference to the city specifically.
