Texas is absolutely more Southern than Southwestern. Only a fool would deny it. You must be one of those pretentious Austinites that tries their hardest to downplay the Texas and southern characteristics of the city so you can play grab ass with portland and seattle.

Its crazy cause the past had negative views upon alabama from the rest of the country. Alabama now is really on the other end of the fence joining Tennessee an Georgia. Mississippi lol is left behind basically.

This is a good thing? All I can think of is Alabama and the Confederacy rising again. That's not a good thing.

If you mean in the polls, however, yeah I can't say much haha. Been to Mobile. Cool city. Haven't seen the rest but I hear good things about Birmingham. Not for me as I'm an extremely far left gay Jew, but for people more moderate and "mainstream American" it seems like a cool place.

Texas wins IMHO. But Shopping and Nightlife go to Florida(Miami can't be beat in these two categories by any other Southern city).

Nightlife Miami wins. But shopping I'll give the slight edge to Houston.

Nah Miami beats Houston in shopping. It really isn't close either. Houston has nothing that can match Bal Harbour or a Worth Ave. Houston is improving but it's not there yet.

If I ever did move to the south, out of all listed in the poll I would have to go with Tennessee... I guess.
