Yeah, it's a good thing that wasn't the point I was making.

The fact of the matter is that the demographics of Austin most closely represent the cultural makeup of Texas has a whole. Houston and Dallas are often said to be more quintessentially Texan, but they are simply far too diverse to fit that title. That's all I was saying.

Not really. Florida's one of the most populated states in the country.

Texas itself is a diverse state. One of the largest Black populations in the USA. One of the largest Hispanic populations in the USA. One of the fastest growing Asian populations in the USA. If anything, Houston and Dallas reflect what is in Texas already.
