Oooh. one of my favorite urban cores in FL vs one of the top places on my shortlist for a vacation home...this one is tough but I feel like going with St Pete right now. Just have to convince my wife to move back there...she didn't really like it when she lived there 12 years ago, but I think I could convince her.

Omaha, GA vs Atlanta, NE
Ooooh, good one!
Had to go to Wikipedia to look up these two places. I really don't think I'd want to live in either of them, but on their relative merits, I'd have to go with Atlanta, Neb.
It gained one resident between 2000 and 2010, raising its population to 131. And it still exists as a municipal corporation, which Omaha, Ga., does not (it was de-incorporated by the Georgia legislature in 1995). Omaha looks all but abandoned according to the pictures available.
And while Omaha was the scene of a fictional lynching in James Joyce's Ulysses, Atlanta was the location of an actual World War II POW camp.
I think I'll take Atlanta over Omaha, then. (I'd probably say the same for the better-known versions of each, but in that case, Omaha, Neb., has much to recommend it.)
Austin, Texas, or Salt Lake City, Utah? (Still playing in that particular sandbox, I am.)
Austin. I'm not really into most nightlife but SLC is too small for my tastes.
Projectmaximus had a good idea. Eugene, MO or St. Louis, OR?
