Both are good places. Similar, Big Ten college towns. Madison is larger. A few nice lakes are right in town. Madison also puts me closer to people I know in both MN and WI. Closer to the Twin Cities region where I am from.

Denver, CO or Nashville, TN ?

Denver; I like the south (and Atlanta), but I prefer western culture, the great craft beer scene, and legal weed (plus I have a lot of friends who live there)
Boston, Massachusetts or Baltimore, Maryland?
